2025 SUMMER SHOW
MEDSTEAD VILLAGE HALL – SATURDAY 19TH JULY 2025
Open to anybody.

Entry is free to members of Medstead Gardeners' Club. Non-Members may enter an unlimited number of exhibits for a fee of £10 upon registration of their entry form. This also gives membership to the Club from August through to December 2025.

You don't need to be an expert to exhibit - give it a go! A number of classes are for Novices only, so don't worry if you've not entered before.

8.00am - 10.00am - Staging of exhibits
10.30am - 11.00am - Hall to be cleared ready for judging
11.00am - 12.45pm - Judging
2.15pm - Open to the Public for viewing
3.30pm - Award presentation
3.45pm - Removal of exhibits

77	Banana Loaf	In a 2lb loaf tin, using the recipe below

Class 77 - Banana Loaf recipe INGREDIENTS Makes 1 medium cake For the Sponge 200gr/7oz - self raising flour 1/4 level tsp bicarbonate of soda 1/2 level tsp salt 75gr/3oz - butter 175gr/6oz - golden caster sugar 2 eggs, beaten 450gr/1lb bananas peeled then mashed METHOD Preheat oven to 160C or gas 4 Grease and line a 2lb Loaf tin Sift together flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Cream the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy and then add beaten egg a little at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the mashed bananas and beat again. Fold in the flour etc Put mixture in the loaf tin and level the top. Bake in the oven for approx 1 hour until well risen and firm. Turn out and cool on a wire rack.
